AUSTRALIAN  ROTARY  HEALTH

Supporting healthier minds, bodies and communities through research, awareness and education

May celebrated the success of Australian Rotary Health to thank  Rotarians for your continued support.

Australian Rotary Health is a major program of Rotary Clubs in Australia. It is a multi-district activity that provides funding for research into a broad range of general health issues and is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia.

With the generous support of Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts, individual and commercial donations and the government; Australian Rotary Health has funded over $33 million of research. All of the money is expended in Australia and contributes to the employment of local Researchers.

Australian Rotary Health provides funding into areas of health that do not readily attract funding—
                        Mental health research
                        General health research
                        Rural Medical and Nursing Scholarships
                        Indigenous Health Scholarships

The fund is improving the quality of life for many people, creating better health and seeks to provide both preventative and curative solutions for a broad range of health conditions.

We thank you for your continued support which will help to keep this program successful in the future.  Please contact us to arrange a time to speak at your club and discuss the programs and how you can help.

See the newsletter on the following page for further ways your Club can be involved in supporting Australian Rotary Health.

Yours in Rotary
